Each of the magazines (COBBLESTONE, FOOTSTEPS, and DIG) is offering a slightly different approach to understanding the underground railroad and its history. In the COBBLESTONE issue, we include articles on the Fugitive Slave laws of 1793 and 1850, the Abolitionist movement and the men and women who were part of that, and the establishment of planned communities for escaped slaves in Canada.
